What are the clay flowers made of?
They are made of a clay and polymer mixture called, Crafter's Clay. Most people call it Fimo.

What are the Foam flowers made of?
Foam Flowers are made of EVA or Ethylene-vinyl acetate material. It is very light weight and can be colored to look extremely life-like. Foam Flowers are best for Plumeria or Frangipani flowers and generally can't be made very small.

How long do these fimo flowers last?
With care, they can last for many, many years. If a piece breaks off, it can be easiler glued with superglue. They can also be washed gently in warm water and a little handsoap.

Is there any lead in the jewelry?
This is a great question. Hauoli Creations items are tested for lead content by independent laboratories and are certified to be well within US legal limits of 100 ppm.

How are the fimo flowers made?
Each petal is pressed into shape by hand and carefully formed in flowers. If you look carefully, you can sometimes see our fingerprints in the clay!

Are the posts hypo-allergenic?
If you or your loved ones are sensitive to some metal, especially nickel, please be on the safe side at all times and test the item against your skin in an area that won't be seen easily. Nickel can be found in almost any earrings (sterling silver, stainless steel, white gold) unless specifically made without nickel. These metals are alloys – combinations of several metals, and to make matters worse, nickel is one of the most common metals used in such an alloy. While we do ask that all our manufacturers us nickel-free materials, but we can't guarantee that each item is always 100% hypo-allergenic or nickel-free since they come from so many parts of the world

Are these items really made in Hawaii?
Every item is designed right here in Honolulu, Hawaii for the Island lifestyle. However, only a few of our items are actually made here in Hawaii. Everything comes to us from the exotic lands of many different countries. Our local crew here processes and checks all items carefully before sending them on their way to add the beauty of the islands to your home.
